Click here for flyerThis workshop is for child therapists and clinical supervisors working with children birth to five years and their caregivers. This workshop will explore the unique emotional needs of very young children in the therapy process and the importance of the caregiver's role. Presenters will discuss the benefits of integrating concepts from both Infant/Toddler Mental Health and Play Therapy when working with young children. Similarities and differences in these two approaches will be examined. Play Therapy activities to promote the parent/child relationship will be discussed. The workshop will also explore the self-reflective process and benefits of reflective supervision when working with young children. This workshop will address competencies required for ITMHCA Endorsement for Culturally Sensitive, Relationship Focused Practice Promoting Infant Mental Health at Levels 3, and 4.

The cost is $65.00 for ITMHCA members; $85.00 for non-members. Seating is limited.
